According to information at the press conference, the total custard apple growing area in Chi Lang district in 2023 is more than 2,300 hectares, with an estimated output of more than 20,000 tons. Of which, the custard apple growing area according to GlobalGAP standards is 35 hectares, and the production area according to VietGAP standards is more than 800 hectares. Revenue from custard apples in 2023 is estimated at about 700 billion VND. To date, in Chi Lang district, there are 3 custard apple products (from Dong Mo town, Chi Lang commune, Y Tich commune) certified as 4-star OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program) and 1 custard apple product from Chi Lang town certified as 3-star OCOP products.
According to the plan, the People's Committee of Chi Lang district will organize the program "Promoting and consuming custard apples and OCOP Chi Lang products" on August 19 at the agricultural market, Chi Lang town, Chi Lang district.
In this program, the District People's Committee will organize an auction of custard apples to raise funds for the construction of social security projects in the district. In addition, the Chi Lang District People's Committee will bring custard apples and some OCOP products of the district to participate in 6 booths at the Regional Agricultural Specialty Market and the Lang Son Custard Apple and Agricultural Specialty Promotion Week in 2023 at the Exhibition, Economic and Trade Fair (Hanoi) from August 24 to August 27.
Also according to information at the press conference, the Chi Lang District Ethnic Culture and Sports Festival will be held on October 10 at the Chi Lang District Central Stadium. At the festival, typical activities will take place such as: the first folk song festival and performance of traditional costumes of Chi Lang District ethnic groups; launching the traditional ethnic costume week; organizing the expanded Chi Lang District lion dance festival, the expanded street art festival, etc.
In particular, the People's Committee of Chi Lang district also organized the Chi Lang Victory Festival on October 10 in conjunction with the historical relic of Chi Lang Temple on October 10. Including an epic performance recreating the entire Chi Lang victory in 1427 and the achievements of Chi Lang district in the current renovation period.
The purpose of organizing these activities is to gradually build the Chi Lang 10/10 Victory Festival into a unique tourism product of the district and be organized annually at the district level and aim to become a national festival.

The leaders of Chi Lang District People's Committee also hoped that the press agencies would continue to coordinate and support Chi Lang District in promoting and introducing Chi Lang custard apple products and cultural activities in the district, thereby helping the district promote the consumption of agricultural products and promote tourist attractions to visitors.
