Press conference of the program "Coconut hometown's grace - Aspiration to reach far" for the 2nd time in 2025

Head of the Liaison Committee of Ben Tre Compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City, Le Tan Buu, provided detailed information on the second program "Gratitude of Coconut Country - Aspiration to Reach Far" in 2025.

The second program "Coconut Hometown Gratitude - Aspiration to Reach Far" in 2025 in Ben Tre province will take place from April 17 to 19, 2025 at the Ben Tre Cultural - Cinema Center, including 3 main activities. The first is: Artistic photography contest and exhibition "Ben Tre - Aspiration to Reach Far in 2025". The contest has completed the judging process, the organizing committee has selected 105 artistic photography works to exhibit in the series of events.

The second is the opening ceremony, awarding of winning photo works and performing music and art in conjunction with the opening of the Book and Reading Culture Day of Ben Tre province in 2025. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on April 17, 2025.

The third is an art performance program to raise funds for social security associated with a special art program summarizing 50 years of Ben Tre literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The activity takes place at 8:00 p.m. on April 19, 2025 and will be broadcast live on Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) and rebroadcast live on Ben Tre Radio and Television ( THBT) and other provincial television stations and social networking platforms.

Head of the Liaison Committee of Ben Tre Compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City, Le Tan Buu, said: “The program has a special meaning in promoting the image of Ben Tre homeland through cultural exchange activities and art performances, helping to spread the spirit of love for the homeland of coconuts to the Ben Tre community living, studying and working in Ben Tre province and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, at home and abroad in general, contributing to connecting mutual love, supporting each other to develop together and towards the homeland of Ben Tre. This year's program will focus on the content of connecting and strongly spreading the love of Ben Tre compatriots".

The program is also a bridge connecting entrepreneurs and enterprises inside and outside the province to promote business and production development in the future; at the same time, it is linked with the activities and economic development of the province.

Through the program, the funds mobilized from corporate sponsorship sources are used to support and contribute to taking care of the lives of people in difficult circumstances in the province, specifically: Awarding scholarships, helping poor students who are studious and overcome difficulties; building and repairing houses of gratitude and love for families with preferential policies, helping those in difficult circumstances; organizing medical examinations, providing free medicine and giving gifts to the poor; building and repairing bridges and rural roads...

After the success of the first time held in Ho Chi Minh City, this year, the program "Coconut Hometown Gratitude - Aspiration to Reach Far" for the second time in 2025 held right in the hometown of Ben Tre has more meaning to return to the roots, review the heroic history and promote the spirit of solidarity and overcoming difficulties of Ben Tre people in the context of the whole country looking towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Speaking at the press conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son said that the provincial leaders strongly support and accompany the organization of this program. The province recognizes and honors the activities of the Ben Tre Association in Ho Chi Minh City over the past 35 years, which have made significant contributions to the homeland in many fields, especially social security.

The province hopes that the program will be the brand of the Ben Tre Liaison Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, to combine economic and cultural activities with social security. Through the activities, Ben Tre businesses in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to connect and deepen with the locality, contributing to the prosperity of the people and the homeland.
