Meeting of the Organizing Committee of Trang An Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival and Ninh Binh Tourism Food Festival 2024

On the afternoon of October 17, the Organizing Committee of the Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Ninh Binh Tourism Cuisine Festival 2024 held a conference to deploy festival activities.

Comrade Bui Van Manh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Tourism chaired the conference. Also attending were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police; representatives of departments, branches, members of the Organizing Committee and related enterprises.

The Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival with the theme "The Beauty of the Ancient Capital" will take place from October 26-29, with a scale of 35 hot air balloons and paragliders controlled by foreign pilots and the Hanoi Paragliding Club.

The opening ceremony will take place at 7:30 am on October 26 at Trang An Cultural Park. Immediately after the opening ceremony, people and tourists can experience flying and hanging on hot air balloons. Along with that, sightseeing activities, taking photos and checking in with hot air balloons are held every day. Here, the Organizing Committee has arranged 120 booths displaying specialties from regions across the country, booths displaying gifts for tourists, and tourism booths of the provinces.

From October 18 to 29, visitors will also experience the space of the Ninh Binh Tourism Food Festival 2024 with the theme "Culinary quintessence of the ancient capital". The festival will open at 7:00 p.m. on October 18 at Ninh Binh Dinosaur Park, Square 3 (Ninh Binh city). According to information from the Organizing Committee, there will be many specialties of 8 districts and cities in the province, with about 100 booths of businesses inside and outside the province participating in the competition and display. This is an important event contributing to the preservation, honoring and promotion of traditional culinary culture values, researching and restoring dishes in the style of the ancient Hoa Lu Royal Court.

At the same time, through the Festival, we contribute to enhancing the value and quality of dishes of the ancient capital Hoa Lu to serve tourists, creating new, unique and attractive tourism products.

At the conference, representatives of the units reported on the progress and implementation of the plan to organize the Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Ninh Binh Tourism Cuisine Festival in 2024, such as: Ensuring facilities, logistics, installation areas for booths displaying regional specialties and cuisine; hot air balloon and paragliding flight and landing areas; light shows during the festival, etc.

The delegates agreed that hot air ballooning and paragliding are new and adventurous forms of tourism, so ensuring security and safety is a top priority. Relevant units need to focus on developing plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, and rescue; deploy medical and insurance measures to ensure the safety of tourists and delegates.

In the immediate future, the units will accelerate coordination and support in applying for hot air balloon flight licenses in accordance with Government regulations. In particular, monitoring and managing the flying vehicles participating in the Festival in accordance with the registration, altitude, and flight path permitted by the Organizing Committee and competent authorities; participating units will have detailed flight plans (adjusted according to weather conditions, etc.), organizing flight surveys, checking the grounds, and ensuring safe distances for high-voltage power lines, etc.
