The irreplaceable "cannon" when coach Park left the Vietnam team

On June 18, Coach Troussier announced the list of 30 names of the Vietnamese team preparing for the match against Syria.

Tien Linh was removed from the list for the match against Syria.

The list was selected by the French coach from 52 players of the Vietnam U23 team and the national team.

Notably, the list of 22 eliminated names includes striker Nguyen Tien Linh.

Tien Linh used to be the number one striker of the Vietnam national team under coach Park Hang-seo.

But recently he has been facing many difficulties adapting to his new position at Binh Duong Club and with that comes consecutive injuries.

In the friendly match with Hong Kong (China) on May 15, the star from Hai Duong was not included in the playing list by coach Troussier due to physical problems.

Tien Linh was allowed by the strategist born in 1955 to stay in Hanoi to continue training and recovery.

Besides the striker born in 1997, Coach Troussier has eliminated 4 more players from the Vietnamese team: Bui Van Duc, Trieu Viet Hung, Bui Hoang Viet Anh and Pham Xuan Manh. The remaining players are U23 players.

In addition to the 21 players on the list for the match against Hong Kong, Mr. Troussier added 6 more players including Tran Minh Toan, Vu Van Thanh, Bui Tien Dung, Nguyen Cong Phuong, Nguyen Van Toan and Nham Manh Dung.

Three U23 Vietnam players promoted to the national team are Nguyen Van Viet, Nguyen Thai Son and Nguyen Duc Phu.

At noon on June 18, the red shirt team arrived in Nam Dinh to prepare for the match against Syria on June 20.

On the same afternoon, the players were given a lighter training load by the coaching staff.

In addition to the shortened warm-up, the passing and one-touch coordination drills also took place at a much lower intensity than before the match against Hong Kong.
