Booking.com - the online travel platform has just recorded the destinations that Vietnamese tourists searched the most during the April 30 and May 1 holidays . Not only domestic destinations but also neighboring cities in the Asia - Pacific region also attracted significant attention from Vietnamese tourists.
The results showed that Bangkok (Thailand) topped the list of international destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists, followed by Singapore, Seoul (South Korea), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Tokyo (Japan).
Among them, Thailand continues to be a popular choice for Vietnamese tourists, with 3 out of 10 most searched destinations being cities in the land of golden temples.
Notably, Hong Kong (China) is in the top 10 destinations chosen by Vietnamese tourists. This is quite surprising because this destination has just reopened for tourism about a year ago.
According to the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), since implementing the e-visa policy, Hong Kong tourism has considered Vietnam as one of the potential emerging source markets. Currently, HKTB maintains its attraction to Vietnamese visitors through digital promotion campaigns as well as trade cooperation.
In addition to its friendly visa policy, Hong Kong is also renewing itself with many improved services.

Hong Kong's New Museum of Visual Culture M+
Located in the West Kowloon Cultural District, M+ is a museum of contemporary Asian visual culture dedicated to Hong Kong's visual arts, design, architecture, moving image and visual culture.
The 65,000- square-meter building has 17,000 square meters of exhibition space and includes three cinemas, a mediatheque, a learning center and a rooftop sky garden overlooking Victoria Harbour. The museum is set to open in late 2021 in an effort to become a modern, new destination for Hong Kong's youth.
According to the HKTB, in March 2024, Hong Kong welcomed about 3.4 million visitors, an increase of 40% over the same period last year.
