On the morning of September 25, in Hanoi, the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training and Honda Vietnam Company jointly organized a ceremony to announce the program to donate 2 million standard helmets to first-grade students nationwide in the 2023-2024 school year, combined with improving traffic safety knowledge for students and parents.

This is the fourth year the helmet donation program has been carried out by Honda Vietnam Company, with the total number of donated helmets reaching nearly 8.6 million.
The program aims to form the habit of wearing helmets among motorbike users in Vietnam, thereby increasing the rate of wearing helmets that meet National Technical Standards to 100% and forming the habit of wearing helmets among motorbike users in Vietnam.
Along with that, improve traffic safety knowledge for students and parents, contributing to building a culture of behavior when participating in traffic.
Giving standard helmets to students
At the ceremony, the parties agreed and signed a memorandum of understanding on the following contents: 100% of first graders nationwide will receive standard helmets from Honda Vietnam Company; increase activities to share knowledge about traffic safety, skills to predict and avoid risks for students and their parents.
Through the helmet donation events for the 2023-2024 school year, it is estimated that about 2 million students and 200,000 parents will have their knowledge and skills improved in traffic safety.
The program of giving helmets to first graders combined with improving traffic safety knowledge for students and their parents will contribute to realizing the goal of the Vietnamese Government "No deaths due to road traffic accidents by 2045", as well as Honda's global goal of "No deaths due to traffic collisions involving Honda motorbikes and cars" by 2050.
