More than 800 tons of goods passed through Kim Thanh Border Gate on the first day of the new year.

Of which, for export goods, businesses opened 30 customs declarations, with a volume of 772.2 tons of goods, including Vietnamese fruits such as rambutan, jackfruit, mango, durian, and dragon fruit.

For imported goods, the enterprise opened 1 customs declaration, with a volume of 28.8 tons of pears.

The value of import and export turnover on the first day of the Year of the Dragon reached nearly 2.3 million USD, of which export turnover reached more than 2.2 million USD.

It is known that the "first enterprise" to open at Kim Thanh Border Gate is An Nguyen Import Export Company Limited, with a truck carrying 27 tons of fresh jackfruit, standard quality, originating from the Southern provinces, cleared through Kim Thanh Road Border Gate.

The authorities at the border gate presented flowers to the first driver of the two countries to "enter the new year" with the hope of a smooth trade year, while carrying out customs clearance procedures quickly and safely; ensuring the best quality of exported agricultural products.

During the 3 days of Tet (the 1st and 3rd days of the Giap Thin Lunar New Year), more than 40 enterprises registered to open declarations and carry out customs clearance procedures for import and export of goods through Kim Thanh Border Gate. This is a positive sign for import and export activities, striving to achieve the target of 4.5 billion USD in import and export turnover through Lao Cai border gates in 2024.
