According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the unit and the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board have coordinated to survey, repair and upgrade a number of items of historical relics and venues for the first Peace Festival in 2024 with a total cost of more than 7.7 billion VND from the local budget and socialized sources.

Accordingly, the items to be renovated and repaired belong to a number of historical relics and locations including: Vinh Moc Tunnels, Hien Luong - Ben Hai Banks, Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center, Provincial Museum, Flower Wharf on the North and South banks of Thach Han River and the Ancient Citadel Bell Tower.
This is an urgent task to serve the Peace Festival taking place in July 2024. The above funding comes from the budget and socialization (not using the funding of the Project to preserve and restore the Hien Luong-Ben Hai Special National Monument and the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Special National Monument which is being prepared for implementation).
The Peace Festival was held for the first time in Quang Tri on a national scale to affirm the aspiration and value of peace, build a message towards a peaceful, stable and prosperous world; at the same time, it is an opportunity to introduce and promote the image, culture, land and people of Quang Tri to people across the country and international friends.
