More than 76,000 train tickets have been sold for the April 30 holiday, the railway continues to increase trips

According to the forecast of Vietnam Railway Corporation, people's travel demand during the upcoming April 30 - May 1 holiday will increase sharply.

This is the beginning of summer and the long holiday after Tet holiday, so the demand to return to hometowns and go to tourist destinations increases... Tourists usually concentrate on April 29-30, from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to tourist destinations and on May 3-4, from tourist destinations back to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Apart from the first and last days of the holiday, which saw a large number of bookings, there are still many empty seats on other train travel days during the holiday. As of April 17, 76,000 tickets had been sold, accounting for 60% of the number of tickets available for this holiday.

It is expected that from now until the holiday, the number of passengers buying train tickets will continue to increase, especially for short-distance trains. For the Hanoi - Hai Phong route, in addition to the regular daily routes, there will be 5 additional trips.

For regional train routes such as Hanoi - Vinh, Hanoi - Da Nang, Saigon - Nha Trang, the railway industry will organize a total of 32 more trains to serve the people.

In particular, on April 29, train SE1 departs from Hanoi station and train SE4 departs from Saigon station, the two trains will meet on April 30 at Da Nang station. The Railway Industry organizes a program to see off the "Reunification Train" at Hanoi and Saigon stations and a program to welcome the two trains meeting at Da Nang station on April 30 with many attractive gifts for passengers on this historic train.

The railway industry recommends that people traveling by train during the holidays should pack their luggage neatly, remember the train schedule and arrive at the station about 30 minutes before departure to avoid missing the train.
