Over 750 billion VND in tourism revenue on September 2nd holiday

This year, the September 2 holiday lasts 4 days, the weather in Khanh Hoa province is sunny, no rain, favorable for tourists to enjoy everywhere. During the 4-day holiday, Cam Ranh International Airport welcomed nearly 450 flights landing and taking off with about 76,000 passengers, of which international visitors accounted for 2/3 with more than 48,000 passengers. Korea and China are still the main tourism markets of Khanh Hoa province. Domestic tourists come to Khanh Hoa province mainly by road, through personal vehicles. The number of tourists increased slightly compared to the September 2 holiday in 2023.

The attractions on Hon Tre Island and the islands in Nha Phu Lagoon, Nha Trang Bay attract a lot of visitors. The entertainment spots have attracted more than 400 thousand visitors. The service prices are stable, creating comfort for tourists. Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang, from Dak Lak province, came to Khanh Hoa for tourism, said:

"In Nha Trang, I find the weather not too harsh, going out is very convenient and comfortable because there is no rain or wind. During the 4-day holiday, I find the middle 2 days the most crowded. The service at sea, the price can be negotiated because this is a service provided by the locals. In my opinion, the price is not high, going to 3 islands is only 500-700 thousand/person, including food, drinks, and tickets to the island, which is very cheap."

It is estimated that during the 4-day September 2 holiday, Khanh Hoa province welcomed more than 175,000 overnight guests, an increase of 15% compared to the 2023 holiday. Revenue from tourists is estimated at 756 billion VND. The average room occupancy rate of accommodation establishments is about 70%; of which, some accommodation establishments in Bai Dai and some beautiful resorts in Nha Trang have room occupancy rates of over 90%.

Although the number of tourists is quite large, the security and order situation during the National Day holiday on September 2 is still safe. Tourism businesses strictly follow regulations on fire prevention, fire fighting, security and order, food safety and hygiene... However, there is still traffic congestion during rush hour in the center of Nha Trang city.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism, said that the National Day on September 2nd is close to the opening day of the school year, so the number of visitors to Khanh Hoa has increased slightly.

"Children are preparing for school, so the number of guests is only moderate. Service prices and the general level are stable, without any sudden price increases. The number of accommodation rooms in Khanh Hoa province is currently very large, about 65 thousand rooms. Competition requires a lot of services between these segments, so hotels must focus on service quality to attract guests," Ms. Thanh added.
