(CLO) On November 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the First Festival of Typical Quan Ho Villages in Bac Ninh Province in 2024.
The event is part of a series of activities celebrating the 15th anniversary of Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The first Festival of Typical Quan Ho Villages in Bac Ninh Province in 2024 will be attended by more than 700 Lien Anh and Lien Chi from 24 typical Quan Ho villages, selected from 150 Quan Ho villages in the province.

Each Quan Ho village practices participating in a program including: 1 performance of ancient Quan Ho singing without accompaniment, duet singing (male or female duo); 1 solo performance and 1 group singing performance.
The content is songs with new lyrics based on Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs; songs with Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs have content praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho; praising the achievements in the cause of building, innovating and developing the homeland.
The festival aims to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of Quan Ho villages in preserving and spreading Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs. At the same time, it is an opportunity for Lien Anh and Lien Chi to meet, exchange, and learn experiences in practicing Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs heritage in the community; connecting Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs with traditional cultural activities, contributing to spreading and promoting the value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs in contemporary life.
On September 30, 2009, Quan Ho Bac Ninh was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Over the past 15 years, Bac Ninh has fulfilled well the contents of Vietnam's commitment to UNESCO on preserving Quan Ho folk songs, such as: Teaching, restoring traditional performance spaces, promoting and promoting to the world; investing in facilities... to preserve, protect and continue to promote the unique value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song heritage. Up to now, Bac Ninh is the only province in the country that has a monthly subsidy policy for Quan Ho folk song artists.
Towards the 15th anniversary of Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province is implementing a series of unique cultural activities.
Accordingly, from November 11 to 30, Bac Ninh province organized a series of events, such as: Meeting program with Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk artists, associated with the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, held on November 12, at Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province;
The exhibition "Beauty of Bac Ninh Cultural Heritage" takes place from November 12 to 23 at Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province.
The exhibition "Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs - eternal and widespread" will take place until November 30, at Bac Ninh Provincial Museum;
Exhibition of documents "Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Songs - Quintessence and Identity" from November 13 - 30, at Bac Ninh Provincial Library, Bac Ninh city;
The 2024 Quan Ho Village Festival in Bac Ninh Province will take place on November 15 at the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, Bac Ninh City;
Art exchange program - connecting cultural heritages: Performed in the form of a boat performance at 8:00 p.m. on November 21, at Nguyen Phi Y Lan lake, Bac Ninh city;
The 2024 Bac Ninh Tourism, Cuisine and Craft Village Festival will take place from November 14 to 18 at Kinh Bac Cultural Center Square, Bac Ninh City.
The official celebration will be held at 8:00 p.m. on November 23 at Hall A, Kinh Bac Cultural Center. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province hopes that this event will attract a large number of people and tourists to participate, contributing to introducing and promoting the unique cultural heritage values of the locality.
