Over 64 billion VND to build a new Dinh Binh bridge.

On November 11th, leaders of the People's Committee of Vinh Thanh district (Binh Dinh province) announced that the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the district as the investor and to carry out the procedures for preparing the investment in the construction of the new Dinh Binh bridge.

The project will be submitted to the competent authorities for approval in accordance with the Law on Public Investment. According to initial calculations, the new Dinh Binh bridge is expected to be 216m long, with a total investment of over 64.4 billion VND, and implementation time from 2025 to 2027.

The Dinh Binh Bridge is currently the main bridge in Vinh Thanh district, connecting the two residential areas east and west of the Kon River. Built and put into use in 1995, after nearly 30 years it has seriously deteriorated, shaking violently whenever trucks pass over it.

Due to concerns about the bridge collapsing, the local authorities have recently placed signs prohibiting cars at both ends of the bridge. Currently, the local authorities are developing plans to ensure safety and prevent people from using the bridge during the flood season and high water levels. Simultaneously, traffic is being diverted to the Vinh Hiep bridge, located 1.5km away, to ensure safety.

According to the Department of Transport of Binh Dinh province, there are currently 27 weak and narrow bridges on provincial roads that need to be replaced to ensure traffic safety and standardize load capacity. These bridges have already been inspected and have load limit signs posted.
