The employer will pay all costs for the employee's health check-up. If the employee does not have a health check-up certificate (from a competent health authority) when signing a contract, the employer will not accept the employee for work.
According to the representative of the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area Management Board, the tourist area currently has over 600 people from Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District working as boatmen to transport tourists. For many years, these workers have not signed labor contracts to comply with the provisions of the Labor Code.
"The fact that the boatmen do not sign contracts has significantly affected their rights. Because the job of rowing boats to transport tourists here is hard work, requiring many hours of continuous work in unpredictable weather, health is easily affected. The boatmen must be in good health to undertake this job, helping tourists enjoy the entire journey," said the representative.

A representative of Xuan Truong Enterprise added that in recent years, the enterprise has been assigned by the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee to manage the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area. However, hundreds of workers here have not had labor contracts signed by the enterprise, which is not in accordance with labor law.
To ensure labor safety and health for boatmen and tourists, and to ensure the rights of workers according to current labor laws, the investor of the tourist area decided to sign labor contracts with boatmen.
