The "Vietnamese Beautiful Calligraphy Contest - 2nd time" was organized by Tien Phong Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Thanh Chuong Company Limited and the Vietnamese Beautiful Calligraphy Club in Hanoi recently.

Mr. Phan Van Cuong, Director of Thanh Chuong Company Limited, Chairman of the Vietnamese Calligraphy Club, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest shared that to ensure fairness and objectivity for the contestants' exams, the Organizing Committee selected teachers working at primary schools nationwide as well as the Vietnamese Calligraphy Club to judge from the preliminary round to the final round.
"The contest requires contestants to focus on writing standard letters, not accepting creative entries with embellished, twisted, curved, or stylized strokes. This shows that although students practice their handwriting, it is only at a basic level, without having to practice stylized letters according to teachers' instructions, which takes a lot of time. In addition, a properly written essay is simply presented on paper, without being framed, causing expense and waste for families and society," Mr. Cuong added.
