At the meeting to inform about the business results in 2024 and the implementation of a number of key projects at Da Nang International Airport, Mr. Phan Kieu Hung, General Director of Da Nang International Airport, said that in 2025 and the following years, to ensure that Da Nang International Airport is not overloaded due to the increasing demand for passenger and cargo travel through this airport, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) has planned to implement many key projects and works.

Specifically, the T1 passenger terminal expansion project increases the capacity to 10 million passengers/year, bringing the total passenger service capacity of Da Nang International Airport (including T1 + T2 + expanded T1 terminals) to 14 million passengers/year. ACV has recorded an investment capital of VND5,000 billion for this project with the project implementation period in the period of 2026-2028.

The cargo terminal project with a capacity of 100,000 tons/year, with a total investment capital being proposed to be adjusted from VND350 billion to VND600 billion, will start construction in the third quarter of 2025, complete construction and put into operation in the third quarter of 2026.

The aviation infrastructure construction project on the remaining land in the North of the airport includes two main items, will start construction in November 2024 and complete construction and put into operation in April 2025.
