More than 3,000 applications
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training - Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son, leaders of leading technical universities in Hanoi, more than 300 students - interns and their families.
Launched in 2021, the Viettel Digital Talent program in 2024 has entered its 4th explosive season with more than 3,000 applications, 1.5 times more than in 2023.
This year, the program has received more than 300 outstanding third and fourth year students, including 240 applications with national and international awards. After 3 months of intensive training, 179 students have qualified for round 2, accessing data and technology research topics at 11 units/companies.
These research topics all originate from practical problems in the production and business process, approved and directly proposed by the board of directors of the units.
Not only recording an outstanding number of applications, season 4 of Viettel Digital Talent also recorded 126 technology initiatives in 9 fields, the largest number of technology initiatives compared to previous seasons. Of which, many initiatives have been developed into products, with initial testing results.
With the aim of fully exploiting the creative potential of young students, each technological initiative when built must meet a set of clear criteria such as novelty, economic efficiency, high applicability and completion. These technological initiatives are evaluated through 3 rounds from the unit level, the general company, to the group level.

At the ceremony, Viettel Group's board of directors listened to the winning technology initiatives of season 4, shared and gave suggestions to help them complete their projects and deploy them more widely.
According to the organizers, the technology initiative is the final result of the students after 6 months of training, but their journey will not stop here.
Specifically, more than 40% of the 304 initiatives coming out of the program were incorporated into Viettel's products and projects. Notably, the AI application system product of intern Nguyen Anh Minh (season 3) was completed and used for TV360 in the recent Euro season, and was also expanded for the Conversational AI project.
