According to statistics from the Organizing Committee, the 2nd Competition to Learn about the Traditions of the Industry and Trade Sector (October) continues to have the participation of many units in the entire Industry and Trade sector.
In particular, the Organizing Committee continued to acknowledge the enthusiastic participation of many universities and colleges of the Industry and Trade sector across provinces and cities, demonstrating a pioneering spirit such as: University of Economics and Industrial Technology, University of Electricity, Sao Do University...
In addition, many Power Companies such as Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, Hoc Mon Power Company, Cao Bang Power Company or petroleum companies also recorded very active participation.
Previously, on August 13, 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Plan No. 23-KH/BCSĐ on organizing the Competition to Learn about the Tradition of the Industry and Trade Sector. This is one of the most important activities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade towards the 75th anniversary of the Industry and Trade Sector Tradition Day (May 14, 1951 - May 14, 2026).

On August 14, 2024, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a launching ceremony for the Competition to Learn about the Traditions of the Industry and Trade Sector. The competition aims to honor traditional values, promote the position and stature of the Industry and Trade sector in the process of formation, construction and development since its inception; contribute to educating traditions, arousing the pride of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Industry and Trade sector.
At the same time, the contest also helps raise public awareness of the role and importance of the Industry and Trade sector to the country's socio-economic development; raise awareness of the whole society about the activities of the Industry and Trade sector, thereby gaining social consensus and people's attention for the development of the Industry and Trade sector; encourage creativity and participation of all classes of people in learning and contributing to the development of the Industry and Trade sector.
In order for the contest to receive the response and active participation of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in agencies and units under the Industry and Trade sector, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched a movement to agencies and units under the sector to respond and participate in the contest. Accordingly, after 2 months of implementation, the contest has received active participation. In total, the two rounds of the contest had nearly 8,000 participants, showing the initial success and effectiveness of the contest.
Assessing the significance of the contest, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thi Thu Hoai - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Council of the University of Economics and Industrial Technology - shared: " The contest has a very profound meaning, not only helping to improve historical knowledge but also helping to educate the younger generations, students and pupils in learning, preserving and promoting the good values of the tradition of the Industry and Trade sector. At the same time, mobilizing consensus, collective spirit, a unified bloc in the whole industry to learn and contribute to the development of the Industry and Trade sector ".
Previously, the Organizing Committee of the Competition to Learn about the Traditions of the Industry and Trade Sector awarded prizes to 9 individuals and units that won prizes from the first online competition (September 2024).

At the end of the first round of the competition (September 2024) in the form of an online competition, the Organizing Committee has judged and selected the winning individuals and units including: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 3 actively participating units.
Sharing his feelings after receiving the award as one of the three units actively participating in the first phase, Mr. Chu Van Tuan - in charge of the Center for Communications and Business Relations, University of Electricity - said that, implementing the direction of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, after receiving the official dispatch from the Ministry, the school's leaders organized the implementation and assigned relevant units to seriously implement it.
“ The award is a great source of spiritual encouragement for the school's leaders, lecturers, civil servants, employees, trainees and students to continue to participate more actively in learning about the industry's traditions through the next competitions, in order to spread and contribute to the success of the competition, ” said Mr. Tuan.
The contest will be launched from August 15, 2024 to February 3, 2025 in 2 forms: Online contest (including 5 rounds, 1 round per month) and through works.
