According to statistics from Hanoi Metro One Member Co., Ltd., after 1 week of official commercial operation, the elevated section of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line has served more than 393,000 passengers.
Notably, in the first few days of operation, the route set a record of transporting more than 100,000 passengers/day, far exceeding the initial estimate of the management unit.
According to statistics from Hanoi Metro, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line has carried 393,168 passengers since the first day of operation of the elevated section (August 8-14). The number of passengers increasing day by day shows the attractiveness of this form of public transport.

Accordingly, on the first day of commercial operation (August 8): there were 170 trains operating with 37,244 passengers experiencing. On August 9 and August 10, the route operated to serve 52,280 and 66,087 passengers, respectively.
During the weekends, the number of train passengers increased rapidly. On Saturday (August 10), 66,087 people took the train, and on Sunday (August 11), 100,515 passengers took the train. These are all record numbers, far exceeding the expectations of the management and operation unit of the route.
According to Mr. Vu Hong Truong - General Director of Hanoi Metro, in the first 7 days of operation, the elevated section of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line served 393,168 passengers. If comparing the two urban railway lines that have been put into operation and commercial exploitation within 7 days, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station line has a much higher number of passengers than the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line with only 165,824 passengers.
It is known that the elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay is 8.5km long, including 8 stations: Nhon (S1); Minh Khai (S2); Phu Dien (S3); Cau Dien (S4); Le Duc Tho (S5); National University (S6); Chua Ha (S7); Cau Giay (S8). In which, the number of passengers is mainly concentrated at the 2 terminal stations, S1 and S8.
Free service for the first 15 days of operation According to the Hanoi Urban Railway Project Management Board, in the first 15 days of commercial operation (from August 8), all passengers will be served free of charge. In the first 3 months, the route will open at 5:30 a.m., close at 10 p.m., with trains running every 10 minutes. In the following period, depending on passenger demand, adjustments will be made to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the route. |
