On April 16, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), the 2025 City International Food and Foodstuff Exhibition (HCMC FOODEX 2025) with the theme "Sustainable Green Natural Products" opened.
The event is organized by the Center for Trade and Investment Promotion in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Foodstuff Association and will last until April 19.
According to the organizers, HCMC FOODEX 2025 brings together 500 booths, attracting the participation of nearly 400 units, organizations and leading brands in the food and foodstuff sector of Ho Chi Minh City, provinces, cities and countries from Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia and Vietnam.
In addition, more than 300 domestic and international buyers from 15 countries confirmed to visit and trade at the exhibition. During the 4 working days, it is expected to establish more than 1,000 connections.
In particular, the exhibition has the participation of businesses from Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia; introducing many new and potential food products, from confectionery, milk, butter, processed foods... creating a vibrant trading space.

According to records, on the first day of opening, many customers and people came to visit, learn about cooperation opportunities and try a variety of food and agricultural products.
In addition to processed foods introduced to customers by companies such as Binh Tay, Bidrico, Ba Vi Milk Joint Stock Company, Nosafood, Haday Vietnam, Sgari..., many booths displaying and selling local agricultural specialties also attract customers to learn about and try them.
Examples include coffee and cocoa from Dong Nai; seafood from Binh Thuan and Binh Dinh; ginseng and cinnamon from Quang Nam; fruits from Dong Thap, Tien Giang and Bac Lieu; spring rolls and sausages from Long An...
In her opening speech, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - said that the food and foodstuff industry currently accounts for 14-15% of the total industrial production value, and is one of the four key industries prioritized for development in the city.
"The exhibition is a practical activity to support businesses, contributing to the overall introduction of the city's food processing industry, promoting quality products, promoting business cooperation opportunities and attracting effective investment resources," Ms. Thuy emphasized.
Within the framework of the exhibition, there are also a number of other outstanding activities such as seminars and talks on sustainable development in food and agricultural production; trade connection programs with modern distribution systems and e-commerce platforms, livestream sales activities...
