In response to the 2024 Peace Festival, this morning, July 19, at the Quang Tri Museum, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Association of People with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, Support for People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights of Quang Tri province in collaboration with the Chemical Corps Museum, the National Action Center for Overcoming the Consequences of Toxic Chemicals and the Environment (NACCET) and the Museum of Military Region 4 organized the opening of the Exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" - Quang Tri 2024.

The exhibition introduces more than 300 images, documents, and artifacts, with the following themes: Agent Orange disaster, Agent Orange pain; Vietnam overcoming the consequences of chemical warfare; 20-year journey of establishment and operation of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA/Dioxin) and the journey to demand justice for VAVA; Examples of overcoming difficulties, "Golden hearts" for VAVA; Military Region 4 and Quang Tri province overcoming the consequences of toxic chemicals, caring for and helping victims; Activities of the Association of People with Disabilities (PWD), Agent Orange Victims, Sponsoring PWDs and Protecting Children's Rights in Quang Tri province; NACCET Center with activities of the project "Supporting improvement of the quality of life for PWDs in provinces heavily sprayed with Agent Orange".

Through the exhibition, the aim is to widely propagate so that compatriots, soldiers nationwide, overseas Vietnamese and international friends can better understand the consequences of toxic chemicals/dioxin on the environment and human health, especially in Quang Tri - one of the 8 provinces heavily sprayed with Agent Orange; the efforts of the Party, State, Army, Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, Military Region 4 and Quang Tri province, the joint efforts of the community and international friends in overcoming the consequences of toxic chemicals; examples of Victims of Agent Orange overcoming difficulties to reintegrate into the community.
Through the exhibition, we continue to call on all walks of life, overseas Vietnamese and international friends to join hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange, unite to fight against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and support the struggle for justice for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee and units mobilized support, assisted in building gratitude houses, gave gifts, gave savings books, supported livelihoods for victims, families of Agent Orange victims and policy families in Quang Tri province with a total implementation cost of nearly 490 million VND.

The exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" - Quang Tri 2024 takes place from July 19 to August 29, 2024 and is held online on the website trienlamdacam.vn, at the electronic information portal of the Chemical Corps: http://binhchunghoahoc.vn and the website of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin: http://vava.org.vn.
The exhibition is also a meaningful activity to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam on July 21 (1954 - 2024); the 63rd anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam on August 10 (1961 - 2024); Day for Agent Orange victims (August 10); the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27 (1947 - 2024).
