More than 3 billion VND in support items for high school graduation exams

In order to best support candidates in the high school graduation exam, the Exam Support Program in Ho Chi Minh City has received many items such as: umbrellas, raincoats, cookies, candies, cereals, mineral water, milk, pens, exam handbooks, fans, etc.

The items were delivered in two batches, batch 1 from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on June 24, and batch 2 from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on June 25. The total value of the items is estimated to be up to 3 billion VND.

Le Phuong Anh Thu, a student at Saigon University, said the group rode motorbikes from Cu Chi district to District 1 to receive relief supplies.

"Although the distance was quite far, it took our group about 3 hours, but everyone was very excited, hoping to receive many items to bring back to the exam site, preparing everything carefully to support the candidates" - Thu excitedly said.

Vo Anh Binh, a student at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, excitedly said: "I participated in the 2023 Exam Support Program. This year, when I received the items, I felt that the program is investing more and more. Having more cakes and milk will help candidates reduce stress and recharge their energy before and after the exam."

Le Duy Gia Huy, a volunteer student in the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the plan to receive and distribute items to schools had been prepared by the team in advance. With the desire to focus their efforts and provide effective support, this group of volunteer students set a goal of being able to complete receiving and distributing items on the first day.

According to a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center, this year's Exam Support Program has more than 37,000 students registered. Of these, more than 7,000 students from 17 teams will directly support 162 exam sites in the city and help regulate traffic.

In addition, at the examination sites that organize separate admission exams, volunteers will coordinate to advise, guide and arrange resting areas, introduce accommodation and dormitories for candidates on the days of aptitude tests and capacity assessment tests for schools.

Mr. Le Xuan Dung, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center, emphasized that the 2024 Exam Support Program will create a special mark, contributing to the 25th anniversary of the National Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.
