A study by the Ministry of Health estimates that about 7.7% of couples of childbearing age are infertile.
However, the current infertility rate in Vietnam may exceed 10%, it is estimated that Vietnam currently has about 2 million couples having difficulty having children.
Up to 40% of infertility causes come from men, 40% come from women and the remaining 20% come from both sides or are of unknown cause.
Doctor Tran Van Thuan - professional director of Gia Dinh General Hospital - emphasized that currently the infertility rate in our country is at a high level, one of the causes of this situation is due to the environment, lifestyle and living style.
According to Dr. Ho Manh Tuong, children are an important factor that brings unity and happiness to families in Vietnam. Therefore, early and effective treatment is very important.
In addition, the ability to conceive and the effectiveness of treatment depend greatly on the age of the wife. Delaying treatment will greatly affect the couple's ability to have children. Currently, new treatment regimens and the application of modern technology have significantly improved the chances of success.
