More than 2,600 10th and 11th graders of Vinh Phuc won provincial-level excellent student awards.

The exam to select excellent students (HSG) for grades 10 and 11 of the provincial high school program for the 2024-2025 school year, organized by the Department of Education and Training, took place on April 14 and 15. The exam had 4,563 students from high schools and units teaching the high school continuing education program in the province; of which, 2,310 were grade 10 students and 2,253 were grade 11 students. Candidates took the exam in 10 subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English and Economic Education & Law.

According to the Department of Education and Training, the units have prepared well the conditions to ensure the exam takes place safely and in accordance with regulations. The marking of the exam is serious and on schedule. As a result, 1,362 grade 10 students won prizes, accounting for nearly 59% of the total number of candidates taking the exam, including 51 first prizes, 270 second prizes and 461 third prizes; 1,314 grade 11 students won prizes, accounting for 58.3% of the total number of candidates taking the exam, including 51 first prizes, 268 second prizes and 440 third prizes.

Topping the rankings in terms of prize quality is Le Xoay High School (Vinh Tuong) with 114 grade 10 students winning prizes, including 10 first prizes and 33 second prizes; 111 grade 11 students winning prizes, including 11 first prizes and 30 second prizes. Some schools with high achievements in the exam include Nguyen Viet Xuan High School (Vinh Tuong), Ngo Gia Tu High School (Lap Thach), Tran Phu High School (Vinh Yen)...

The provincial-level excellent student selection contest is organized annually by the Department of Education and Training to encourage teachers and students to promote their creativity, good teaching and good learning abilities; contributing to promoting the improvement and enhancement of the quality of teaching and learning, the quality of management and direction of educational management levels.

The results of the exam objectively and accurately reflect the quality and movement of nurturing gifted students of schools; at the same time, reflect the efforts of the management staff, teachers of high schools, units teaching the high school continuing education program, the learning efforts of students; and are supported and highly appreciated by parents and society.
