Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, stated that military service is a glorious duty of citizens to serve in the People's Army.

"Building the nation must go hand in hand with defending it; this is the law of our nation's existence and development. As outstanding sons and daughters of Can Tho, the new recruits must feel honored and proud to be the next generation to inherit and continue to uphold the patriotic traditions of their homeland, following in the footsteps of their forefathers, and enthusiastically going to defend the Fatherland."

According to the Can Tho Military Command, the quality of recruits met 100% of the target, ensuring standards regarding health and educational qualifications.
