On the morning of August 31, Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2024-2025.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Director of Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities, said that in the 2024-2025 school year, the Center will enroll 36 more students, bringing the total number of students to 127. Of which, the Quang Ngai facility has 103 students, and the Ho Chi Minh City facility has 24 students.
Giving gifts to disabled students
"All students, upon admission, are monitored by the Center, given health care, taught knowledge, taught skills, and taught basic vocational skills, appropriate to the abilities of each student and each type of disability. For hearing-impaired students, receiving information from the outside is mainly through vision, so the Center also applies information technology to integrate images to help them absorb lessons faster. For students with cognitive difficulties, information technology is also applied to support writing skills, stimulate the senses to promote higher learning ability," said Ms. Ha.
Readers of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper donated 50 million VND to the center.
Total amount of money donated by benefactors is more than 1.5 billion VND
Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities is the only non-public facility in the country that has the function of caring for, educating, teaching literacy, and vocational training for children with disabilities in Quang Ngai. The center also has a branch in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, founded and run by former member of the Party Central Committee and former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha.
On this occasion, the Center received sponsorship from units, businesses, groups and individuals inside and outside the province with a total of more than 1.5 billion VND.
