DNVN - Mr. Phan Kieu Hung - Director of Da Nang International Airport said that on the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025, Da Nang airport welcomed more than 140 domestic and international flights landing, estimated at more than 20 thousand passengers.

At 9:00 a.m. on January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), the Danang Department of Tourism coordinated with the Central Airport Authority, Danang International Airport, Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) and representatives of airlines to welcome the first flight landing at Danang International Airport on the first day of the new year of At Ty 2025.

Representatives of Da Nang tourism industry presented gifts to the first international guests landing at Da Nang airport on the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Tourists were excited to enjoy the unique lion dance performance and receive special gifts with the flavor of Da Nang such as conical hats, ginger jam, grilled coconut cakes, dried sesame... In particular, the "picking spring fortune" program also gave tourists vouchers for sightseeing and entertainment at famous destinations in the city during their stay in Da Nang.

Ms. Huynh Huong Lan - Deputy Director of Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center said that in 1 hour (from 9-10am on the first day of Tet), Da Nang tourism industry coordinated with agencies, units and airlines to welcome 5 international flights landing at Da Nang airport with about 1,000 passengers.

Of which, there are expected to be 65 international flights of Vietnam Airlines (Narita (Japan) - Da Nang); Vietjet Air (Incheon (Korea) - Da Nang), Air Asia (Bangkok (Thailand) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) - Da Nang), China Airlines (Taipei (Taiwan - China) - Da Nang), Hongkong Express (Hong Kong (China) - Da Nang)..., bringing about 10 thousand visitors to Da Nang for sightseeing.

Previously, at 7:30 a.m. the same day, the Da Nang Department of Tourism also coordinated with Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company and the Da Nang Port Border Guard to welcome more than 800 American tourists on the Crystal Symphony cruise ship to "break ground" in the city at the beginning of the new year of At Ty 2025. Thus, on the first day of Tet, there were about 21,000 visitors to Da Nang - a good sign for the tourism industry of the Han River City.
