More than 120 Vietnamese enterprises participate in CAEXPO 2023 Fair in China

The Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade said that at the China - ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) taking place from September 16-19 in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, China, more than 120 enterprises and units from 22 provinces and cities across the country participated in displaying products and services on an area of ​​nearly 4,000 square meters with 5 specially set-up booths of large enterprises such as: Trung Nguyen Coffee, Binh Tien Footwear, Vinh Tien Food, Vinh Hiep Agricultural Products and Food, and nearly 170 standard booths in the following industries: Agricultural products, processed foods, tourism investment, consumer goods, handicrafts and wood products....

Participating Vietnamese enterprises will display and introduce their products and services throughout the entire exhibition hall No. 8 (Hall 8). In addition to enterprises with booths at the fair, this year, about 100 Vietnamese enterprises will participate in trade programs and seminars at the fair. The Vietnamese business delegation is the largest in scale (after the host country China) among ASEAN countries and internationally attending the fair.

The Trade Promotion Agency reported that the quality and quantity of transactions of Vietnamese enterprises participating in previous fairs have increased. The total value of trade transactions and signed contracts, investment and business cooperation agreements at the fair averaged nearly 100 million USD. Vietnamese enterprises have the opportunity to work and trade with about 50,000 Chinese traders, large enterprises from ASEAN countries and internationally who come to trade and work at the fair.

At this year's fair, the "Beautiful City" booth of Vietnam was coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Son La province to introduce the economic , tourism, trade and investment potential, especially emphasizing the cultural characteristics and economic potential of the locality in particular and of Vietnam in general on an area of ​​180m2 at exhibition hall B2.

The Vietnamese high-ranking delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , together with leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and leaders of a number of ministries, branches and localities across the country, attended the main activities at the Fair.

In addition, there is a trade program between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises. Specifically, following the success of previous years, the Trade Promotion Department coordinated with the CAEXPO Fair Secretariat and related units to organize the "Trade Conference between Vietnamese and Chinese Enterprises" on September 16, 2023 at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center with the participation of nearly 200 delegates representing enterprises of the two countries and trade promotion organizations.

According to the Trade Promotion Agency, before the 2023 CAEXPO Fair took place, the Trade Promotion Agency promoted and publicized Vietnam's participation in the 2023 CAEXPO Fair on the websites of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Trade Promotion Agency; Industry and Trade Newspaper, Investment Newspaper, Vietnamnet, and Business Finance Magazine, and coordinated with the Chinese Fair Organizing Committee to introduce and promote on the official media channels of the Fair.

Through the Fair Organizing Committee, China and ASEAN countries, the Trade Promotion Agency has also sent direct invitations to Chinese, ASEAN and international businesses and traders to come and trade and work with Vietnamese businesses at the fair. In addition, 3,000 leaflets and 1,000 catalogues introducing the Vietnamese Business Delegation will also be distributed by the Organizing Committee at the fair to visitors.

At the 7th ASEAN-China Summit on October 8, 2003 in Bali, Indonesia, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao announced the initiative to organize the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) annually in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, China starting from 2004. This initiative has received the welcome and consensus of ASEAN Leaders. With the significance and importance of the Expo, the Prime Minister directed in Official Dispatch No. 3393/VPCP-QHQT dated July 22, 2004 to establish the National Steering Committee for Vietnam to participate in the annual China-ASEAN Expo, assigning the Minister of Trade (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade) to be the Head of the Steering Committee and Co-Head of the Expo Organizing Committee, and at the same time assigning the Ministry of Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant ministries, branches and localities to organize Vietnam's annual participation in the CAEXPO.
