More than 10 thousand poor households have access to policy capital

On the morning of April 10, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) to assess the policy credit activities in the first 3 months of the year and deploy tasks for the second quarter of 2025.

According to the report of the Provincial Social Policy Bank, the total capital as of March 31, 2025 reached more than VND 5,888 billion, an increase of VND 165.4 billion compared to 2024, a growth rate of 2.9%. Loan turnover reached more than VND 577 billion. The total outstanding debt of credit programs as of March 31, 2025 reached more than VND 5,878 billion, reaching 56% of the growth plan assigned for 2025. The total overdue debt and deferred debt was more than VND 9.3 billion, accounting for 0.16% of the total outstanding debt.

In the first 3 months of 2025, more than 10,000 poor households and other policy beneficiaries have had access to policy credit capital to develop the economy , increase income, and escape poverty. The capital has created jobs, maintained and expanded jobs for 3,505 workers; supported 107 students in difficult circumstances to borrow capital to study; invested in new and renovated 2,566 clean water and rural environmental sanitation works; 835 households doing business in difficult areas have borrowed capital to develop their family economy; 212 poor households in ethnic minority and mountainous areas have borrowed capital to build houses, land, change jobs, etc.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to individuals with outstanding achievements in the performance of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies in the period 2020 - 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien requested the Provincial Bank for Social Policies to focus resources and promote the disbursement of policy credit programs according to the assigned plan targets for 2025, ensuring the growth plan according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council and the Central Government. In addition, continue to closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, associations and unions to receive the mandate to synchronously implement solutions to consolidate and improve the quality of policy credit.

In addition, the Provincial Social Policy Bank needs to promptly advise on the reorganization of the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank at all levels to ensure the correct composition and quantity according to regulations. On the part of the associations and organizations receiving the trust, focus on reviewing the loans, ensuring that the capital reaches the right subjects and promotes efficiency.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the performance of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies in the period 2020 - 2025.
