Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Festival, Major General Nguyen Cong Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security, said that the Festival is an opportunity for officers, soldiers, artists, and actors to exchange and learn; expand culture between regions, between the Ministry's agencies and local police, between the People's Public Security force and the People's Army; at the same time, it is a place to show artistic talent, arouse enthusiasm and passion of individual officers and soldiers in the mass art movement from the Ministry to the grassroots level.
The festival will create an exciting competitive atmosphere, encourage, motivate and educate officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Force to actively strive in their work, practice ethics and lifestyle, improve their personality, and contribute to building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security Force to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Taking place from April 9 to 13, the festival has the participation of more than 1,000 officers, soldiers, artists, and actors from 24 public security art troupes from provinces and cities belonging to the emulation cluster in the Red River Delta, North Central region, emulation cluster under the ministry, 2 People's Police schools and the Hue City Military Command.
With the theme "80 years - Glory of the People's Public Security", 127 performances by mass art troupes participated in the Festival with content focusing on praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho; love for the homeland, the glorious tradition of the People's Public Security force in the cause of fighting, liberating the nation, building and defending the Fatherland, associated with studying and following the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh and implementing the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security.
In addition, the festival also praised the spirit of solidarity and unity of the police and military forces and their close ties with the people, ready to overcome difficulties, hardships, and sacrifices for national security, for the peaceful life and happiness of the people.
In addition to the performances of the art troupes, there will also be a touring art program to serve the people at the Hue City Cultural and Cinema Center on the evening of April 11. At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee will select the best works to award prizes and participate in the national final round, scheduled to be held in May at the Ho Guom Theater, Hanoi.
