As planned, today, August 17, the Central Party delegation led by General Secretary and President To Lam will have many important activities in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the morning, General Secretary and President To Lam attended the Program to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the People's Public Security implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969 - 2024); awarding the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security.

On the same afternoon, General Secretary and President To Lam worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to assess the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the 11th National Party Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term; the dissemination and implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, Ho Chi Minh City's economy has continued to develop on the basis of renewing the growth model, associated with the application of science and technology, innovation, and increasing labor productivity. The business model of sharing economy and circular economy has developed more and more widely. State budget collection has achieved outstanding results, each year higher than the previous year.

These achievements affirm that Ho Chi Minh City is not only the economic locomotive of the whole country but also a locality with the ability to adapt and recover quickly from economic shocks. The city has succeeded in transforming its growth model, linking innovation, application of science and technology and improving labor productivity. Ho Chi Minh City focuses on exploiting and promoting resources effectively. Economic sectors are interested in supporting development with many solutions.

Throughout the development process, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has always focused on the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system. This is a solid foundation to help the city overcome challenges and is a decisive factor for sustainable and comprehensive development. Specifically, in recent years, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has implemented many measures to strengthen political and ideological education for cadres and party members, and improve the effectiveness of the fight against degradation in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle. The work of organizing and building the Party has achieved many very important results, contributing to improving the leadership capacity, fighting strength, innovating leadership methods, styles, and working methods of Party committees and organizations.
