This morning (April 22), the National Assembly Standing Committee discussed the draft Law on Urban and Rural Planning. The draft law was drafted by the Ministry of Construction, and the National Assembly's Economic Committee was the examining body.
Immediately afterwards, the National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed the results of the National Assembly's supervision delegation's supervision of "The implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program and the National Assembly's resolutions on a number of important national projects until the end of 2023".
This is one of the two supreme supervision topics of the National Assembly in 2024, decided by the National Assembly at the 5th Session (June 2023). The National Assembly's supreme supervision of this topic will help National Assembly deputies comprehensively assess the achieved results, clarify the shortcomings, difficulties, obstacles, causes, especially subjective causes, draw lessons and propose feasible solutions that need to be focused on in the coming time to ensure the comprehensive completion of the goals set out in the National Assembly's resolution.
This afternoon, the National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed Report No. 71/BC-CP of the Government on a number of contents proposed to be amended and supplemented in Decree No. 08/2019/ND-CP dated January 23, 2019, stipulating a number of regimes for members of Vietnamese agencies abroad; reviewed the summary report on the results of monitoring legal documents in the areas under the responsibility of the Council of Nationalities and the Committees of the National Assembly in 2023.
Another bill that was also discussed in the afternoon was the Law on Geology and Minerals.
Tomorrow (April 23), the National Assembly Standing Committee will give initial comments on the draft Report on the results of the thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on ensuring traffic order and safety from 2009 to the end of 2023". This is one of two thematic supervisions of the National Assembly Standing Committee in 2024.
Report on the implementation results of the 2023 Supervision Program and the first months of 2024, and the expected 2025 Supervision Program of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee will also be commented on.
In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the reorganization of the Information Technology Center into the Department of Information Technology and Audit Data under the State Audit; discussed the draft Law on Value Added Tax (amended).
According to the schedule, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will deliver a closing speech at the end of the meeting tomorrow afternoon, April 23.
In addition, at this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee also gave written opinions on three reports of the Government. These are the report on the implementation of Resolution No. 93/2019/QH14 dated November 26, 2019 of the National Assembly on the investment policy of the Ka Pet Reservoir Project, Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan Province and Resolution No. 101/2023/QH15 dated June 24, 2023 of the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly on adjusting a number of contents of Resolution No. 93/2019/QH14.
