Ms. Vu Hong Ngoc (30 years old) said that this is the second year that she and other female colleagues have organized November 19 for male colleagues in the office. "It all started last year, on this day, the men sent messages "demanding gifts" to the group, and we women learned more about International Men's Day. So we also organized it for the men. This year, we organized it more carefully and meticulously," Ms. Ngoc excitedly said.
Accordingly, each of Ms. Ngoc's 12 "gentlemen" colleagues received a different gift, along with cards with humorous but also emotional handwritten lines. The "sisters" in Ms. Ngoc's group also bought cakes, candies, fruits... to make a small party for the men.
"Not to mention, that afternoon we also went out for drinks together to celebrate the special day for men," said Nguyen Trong Quyen (25 years old), Ngoc's colleague, laughing. Quyen said that last year, because the women had organized the event on November 19, this year the men were not too surprised, but extremely happy.

He said that this year, he received a pair of socks from his sisters, along with a card with loving words, which made him both happy and warm. He sent his heartfelt thanks to his sisters for not forgetting this special day.
As for Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep (29 years old), one of the 12 gentlemen working with Mr. Quyen, he said that because he has a habit of smoking, he was given a cute box of chewing gum by his female colleagues. Working at the Corporate Customer Department of Vietcombank Thanh Xuan (Hanoi) for 2 years now, that is also the number of times he has celebrated this day.
"Usually I organize March 8 and October 20 for the women I love. When I work here, this is the first time I have organized a separate day for men. I really appreciate the feelings of my colleagues. Thanks to such events, the relationship between colleagues in the office becomes closer, everyone is also happy and united with each other," he confided.
"19.11 should be given more attention"
Ms. Hong Ngoc confided that women often joke that there are only 2 days in the year for women: March 8 and October 20, the rest are for men. However, she strongly supports November 19, because she believes that there should be a day in the year to honor and care for the contributions and sacrifices of "men".
Ms. Ngoc hopes that November 19th should be as popular as March 8th or October 20th.

"This is also an opportunity for us women to express our gratitude and affection to the men who have always helped and supported us throughout the year. I think this day should be respected and more widely celebrated like March 8 or October 20," Ngoc said.
Similarly, Mr. Hoang Hiep also shares the same opinion. Mr. Hiep said that he also learned about this day and believes that this is a meaningful day because its purpose is to care about the health of men and boys, improve gender relations, promote gender equality and highlight the role of men.
Unexpectedly held on November 19, Mr. Pham Thanh Luong (46 years old, living in Quang Ngai) could not hide his happiness. Mr. Luong said that this was the first time in his life that he had a November 19th celebration like this, so he was both surprised and felt warm.

"I hope this day will be taken more seriously by everyone, because if there is a day for women, there should also be a day for men, we also need attention and affection from women," he added.
