TPO - The Traditional Cake Festival "Flavors of 3 Regions" will gather more than 100 booths with artisans and famous chefs introducing more than 500 types of traditional cakes from across the country, including many famous cakes.

The Traditional Cake Festival named “Flavors of 3 Regions” will take place at Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) from October 15-20. This is an event to celebrate the 94th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day October 20, and at the same time, it is a place to promote and honor talented Vietnamese women who preserve and promote the nation’s cake-making tradition.

The organizers said that the festival will gather more than 100 booths with artisans and famous chefs introducing more than 500 types of traditional cakes from across the country.

Notably, many famous cakes that have been around for generations across the country such as banh chung, banh tet, banh duc, banh tai heo, banh da lon, banh tam, banh khoai, banh bot loc, banh bo... will be processed and displayed directly for visitors to enjoy.

In addition, visitors to the Traditional Cake Festival can also enjoy programs such as cake making art performances, receive instructions, learn about cake making processes or directly participate in some processing stages to make their own cakes.

In addition, within the framework of the Festival, the Organizing Committee also held a seminar entitled “Vietnamese traditional cakes on the path of integration” with the participation of artisans, bakers, businesses in the bakery industry, suppliers of raw materials, tools, machinery and businesses from restaurants, hotels, and tourist areas to introduce and share experiences in the process of building and developing traditional cakes to the market.

Bakery businesses also held discussions, aiming to form a responsible ecosystem in preserving and creatively developing Vietnamese traditional cakes. According to the Organizing Committee, the Festival is considered an important step for Vietnamese traditional cakes to not only preserve traditional values ​​but also expand and develop more strongly in the period of international integration.
