This year's competition attracts the participation of 580 artists, actors, musicians, and Lien Anh and Lien Chi from 8 mass art troupes from various localities and 58 Quan Ho villages. The artists and actors will compete in 2 categories: Quan Ho music stage competition and Quan Ho duet singing competition. The Organizing Committee will award First, Second, Third, and Encouragement prizes for each category.
In the Quan Ho music stage competition, each mass art troupe performs a program in the form of solo singing; duet, trio singing; group singing through Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs with ancient lyrics; songs with new lyrics based on Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, songs with Quan Ho folk melodies praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho, praising the historical and cultural traditions of the nation and the renovation process in the homeland and country.

For the Quan Ho duet singing competition, 100 pairs of Lien Anh and Lien Chi singers from the original Quan Ho villages participated in the competition of singing 50 verses (65 pairs) and 150 ancient Quan Ho verses (35 pairs), expressing smooth, mellow tones in accordance with ancient customs with resonant, rumbling, and bouncy qualities. The new point of the Quan Ho duet singing competition this year is that the participating couples were selected through 2 preliminary rounds at the district and provincial levels. In addition, before the competition took place, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed specialized agencies to organize training to equip Lien Anh and Lien Chi singers at Quan Ho Clubs in the province with basic knowledge about the style, communication and behavior of Quan Ho people; the skills of performing duet singing, approaching ancient Quan Ho melodies, etc.

On September 30, 2009, Quan Ho Bac Ninh was recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Song Competition in the Spring of At Ty 2025 is an opportunity for artisans, Lien Anh, Lien Chi, and typical artists to meet, exchange, and learn experiences in practicing the heritage, preserving, maintaining, and constantly promoting the value of the Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Song heritage to be passed on and spread. At the same time, it contributes to re-examining the quality of the movement and short-term and long-term plans in implementing the commitment to UNESCO on the heritage.
