Binh Dinh Literature and Arts Seminar - 50 years of construction and development

(BD) - On the morning of April 22 , in Quy Nhon City, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association organized the Binh Dinh Literature and Arts Conference - 50 years of construction and development.

Speaking at the workshop, poet Mai Thin, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, said: Over the past 50 years, generations of Binh Dinh artists have continued to maintain the source of creativity, contributing to the formation of a continuous, rich-in-identity flow in the country's literature and arts . Since the country's reunification, many prominent figures have become pillars of Binh Dinh's literature and arts . Hundreds of works in genres such as folk literature and arts, ethnic minority literature and arts, fine arts, photography, music , theater, etc. have been published, widely distributed, and won many awards in domestic and international competitions, festivals, and exhibitions.

An important milestone, the Dao Tan - Xuan Dieu Literature and Arts Award, held 6 times (awarded by the Provincial People's Committee, every 5 years), has honored 303 works, demonstrating the continuous growth of the local creative force. Notably, the province has had 3 artists awarded the State Prize: poet Yen Lan (State Prize for Literature and Arts in 2007), researcher Vu Ngoc Lien (State Prize for Theater in 2012) and poet and playwright Van Trong Hung (State Prize for Literature and Arts in Theater in 2022). In addition, many members have been awarded the titles of Meritorious Artist, People's Artist; People's Artisan, Meritorious Artisan. To date, Binh Dinh has 9 People's Artists, 54 Meritorious Artists, 7 People's Artisans and 35 Meritorious Artisans awarded the title by the State.

On this occasion , many experts and researchers inside and outside the province looked back at the 50-year journey of Binh Dinh Literature and Arts through presentations , providing multi-dimensional perspectives, such as: Achievements of 50 years of Binh Dinh implementing the Party's policies and guidelines on literature and arts (1975 - 2025) by Dr. Nguyen Huynh Huyen, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; The effectiveness of policies on developing literature and arts with the achievements of Binh Dinh artists over the past 50 years by Tu Nhu Huyen Tran (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism); 50 years with the Binh Dinh Literature and Arts boat by poet Le Thu ; or the presentation of 50 years from a long-term perspective on Binh Dinh fine arts by painter Dang Mau Tuu; Binh Dinh Photography: The journey of integration and development by National Artist Dao Tien Dat; Binh Dinh dance art rising in hardship by choreographer Hoang Viet...

The workshop is an opportunity to summarize the 50-year development of Binh Dinh 's culture and arts ; suggest and propose practical solutions for the province's culture and arts to continue to develop in the coming period.
