Scientific workshop "The current situation of economic development linkage between Lao Cai province and provinces along the Red River"

Attending the workshop were leaders of several provincial departments and branches; leaders and speakers of the National Economics University.

At the workshop, speakers from the National Economics University presented papers, introducing the context and research issues on the linkage between the highlands and the plains; the linkage of tourism development between Lao Cai and the provinces along the Red River; the linkage of agricultural production in Lao Cai province: current situation and solutions. In particular, focusing on clarifying the importance of regional linkage, research objects, interactive relationships, linkage types, achievements, limitations and causes of limitations in the development of tourism economy, agricultural production between Lao Cai province and the provinces along the Red River.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thu, National Economics University presented a report on "Linking tourism development between Lao Cai and provinces along the Red River".

Delegates attending the workshop also discussed and gave opinions on factors affecting the linkage between highland and lowland areas; approaches, necessary and sufficient conditions to achieve effective linkage in tourism economic development and agricultural production.

Through the workshop, it helps to develop a multi-dimensional analytical and integrated framework for highland-lowland linkages, identify necessary and sufficient conditions for effective regional linkages, analyze differences in perceptions among stakeholders, propose appropriate solutions to promote regional economic development linkages... Thereby creating a basis for completing the provincial-level scientific and technological research topic "Research on economic development linkages of Lao Cai province with provinces along the Red River", contributing to promoting economic development linkages of Lao Cai province and provinces along the Red River to 2030 and vision to 2050.
