The guest delegates gave many interesting opinions. |
Poet Huu Thinh, former President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, former President of the Vietnam Writers Association, commented: In the past 50 years, our literature has done two things. One is to pay off the debt of the past, the other is to join the innovation.
According to him, the professional assessment has also opened up a perspective on the literary formation. The past half century has been a half century of reunion of five generations of writers. These are the pre-war writers, anti-French writers, anti-American writers, post-war writers, and writers who emerged during the renovation. Each generation has its own advantages, complementing and resonating with each other, bringing our literature to a new level.
Entering a new era, the glorious mission and heavy task are placed on the shoulders of the young generation. Time is theirs. The future also belongs to them. All aim to strive to produce works of high ideological and artistic value, with profound effects in building people - Poet Huu Thinh, former President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, former President of the Vietnam Writers Association
"Entering a new era, the glorious mission and heavy task are placed on the shoulders of the young generation. Time is theirs. The future also belongs to them. All are aimed at the goal of striving to produce works of high ideological and artistic value, with profound effects in building people. Thinking carefully, the history of literature has always been a path through the peaks. It is the crystallization of culture that makes the nation surpass the nation, the people surpass the people", poet Huu Thinh shared.
The authors of the presentation affirmed: Vietnamese literature and art have gone through a journey of development full of courage, transforming strongly from the post-war period to the renovation period, with many challenges but also full of opportunities. Even in peacetime, this field still maintains the fire of national spirit, the close connection with people's lives, especially in difficult times such as economic crisis, natural disasters, epidemics...
Generations of artists, from those who wrote during the war to the young generation born in peacetime, share the same ideal: creating art to serve humanity and the Fatherland. Many works not only ensure quality in content and art, but also contribute to spreading profound humanistic values, rich in national cultural identity.

The workshop attracted the attention and participation of representatives of local Literature and Arts Associations. |
The important highlight in the discussions was the affirmation that literature and art not only express individual creativity but also represent the national spirit, cultural identity and noble aspirations of the Vietnamese people. Literature and art have contributed to "keeping the fire" of patriotism, solidarity and the will to constantly rise of the nation over the past half century.
In the new era, literature and art continue to demonstrate their strong vitality when adapting flexibly to the development of technology, the internet and global trends. Online literature, digital art, multimedia music, interactive films, etc. are increasingly popular, opening up new creative spaces for artists and the public.
One of the outstanding achievements mentioned in the conference is the spread of Vietnamese literature and art to the international community. Many literary works have been translated and published abroad, films, plays, works of art, music... are continuously introduced at international art festivals, bringing vivid, authentic and emotional images of the country and people of Vietnam.
Literature and art have become a bridge to bring Vietnamese culture to friends around the world, contributing to building the national brand through culture, affirming Vietnamese spirit and soul.
The workshop also focused on recommendations for the future. Many presentations suggested the need for a more systematic, long-term and effective investment strategy for literature and art; and the development of a system of preferential policies for young talents, artists in remote areas and ethnic minorities.
Some opinions also emphasized the role of technology and digital transformation in creating and popularizing literature and art; the necessity of art education in schools; and developing the market towards professionalization and international integration.
In particular, researchers and artists agree that it is necessary to build a modern, humane literature and art that is imbued with national identity, while at the same time approaching universal human values so that it can accompany the nation in all eras.
The national scientific conference "50 years of Vietnamese Literature and Arts accompanying the nation" is an event of summary and evaluation but also a driving force for a new creative journey. It is an affirmation of the irreplaceable role of this important field in forming national identity, nurturing the soul, morality and ideals of life for every Vietnamese person. Entering important milestones of the country, literature and arts need to continue to be a pioneering force, a great source of spiritual energy, conquering new heights with the nation.
