Workshop on detailed outline of the book "History of Lao Cai city, period 2023 - 2025"

Attending the workshop were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; experts in the field of history; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, city agencies and units and members of the book's Editorial Board.

In order to supplement and complete the book "History of Lao Cai city, period 1907 - 2022" which has been published, Lao Cai city has researched and compiled the outline of the book "History of Lao Cai city, period 2023 - 2025" including 1 chapter (chapter VII) with the name "Lao Cai city promotes socio -economic development, contributing with the whole country to enter the era of national development".

The content of the book focuses on reflecting the historical context, outstanding achievements in various fields and lessons learned in the development process of Lao Cai city mainly from 2023 to present with 6 major issues including: Major policies and orientations on socio-economic development of the city in the period of 2023 - 2025; building urban infrastructure, transportation and protecting environmental resources in a modern and synchronous direction; shifting the economic structure towards services, tourism - trade as the spearhead, accounting for the main proportion; industry as the mainstay, attracting human resources; agriculture, new rural construction are important; cultural - social development; national defense, security, foreign affairs; Party building and strengthening the political system.

The Sub-Conclusion section addresses four major issues: Outstanding results in Party building, socio-economic development, national defense and security, and foreign affairs; the leadership role of Party committees, authorities, and people's consensus; limitations, difficulties, causes, and lessons learned.

At the workshop, the book's Editorial Board received 13 comments on the content, structure, layout and chapter names. The important content is to change the chapter names to suit the reality to affirm that this is a period of acceleration, breakthrough, and reaching the goal of achieving the socio-economic goals of Lao Cai city in a sustainable manner.

In the coming time, the Editorial Board will continue to edit, supplement, and complete the outline of the history book, striving to publish the book before the end of the district-level apparatus's activities, contributing to the completion of the key political tasks of Lao Cai city.
