Workshop "50 years of Quang Ninh province's literature and arts after national reunification"

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, welcomed artists and scientists to Quang Ninh - a land with mountains, rivers, landscapes and people as the subject and source of inspiration for many artists to create timeless works.

Recognizing the position and importance of culture and arts in social life, over the past 50 years, Quang Ninh province has always paid special attention, care and investment to this field. Culture and arts have affirmed their particularly important role and position in life, economy and society, and have received special attention from the province.

The province has developed and implemented the Project "Building a team to work in literature and arts in Quang Ninh province in the period of 2011-2015, with a vision to 2020". In two consecutive terms, the Provincial Party Committee has issued specialized resolutions on culture. Currently, the province is developing a Project to develop literature and arts in Quang Ninh province in the new period.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that literature and art are increasingly innovative and closely following reality, vividly reflecting the life of labor, production, fighting and building a culture rich in Quang Ninh identity, an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity. The team of artists has made comprehensive progress in scale and quality, constantly innovating creative thinking to keep up with the requirements of the times.

He hoped that culture and arts would continue to promote its role as a channel to convey ideas, orient values, and improve the spiritual life of the people, especially the young generation; contributing to enriching the spiritual and cultural foundation of a dynamic province that integrates but does not dissolve, is modern but still retains its identity.

The team of artists needs to continue to promote the fine traditions of previous generations, innovate thinking, and make breakthroughs in creating literature and art to be worthy of the trust that the Party and the people have entrusted; at the same time, continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints and guidelines on literature and art, promote creative activities, propaganda and promotion of literature and art, especially works on the theme of the heroic mining region, the system of cultural values of Quang Ninh people, the process of innovation and integration; take care of building the next generation; innovate the organization of the Association's activities; strengthen exchanges and cooperation in literature and art.

At the conference, 7 papers were presented and many opinions were expressed directly in the exchanges and discussions on stage. Up to now, the Conference Organizing Committee has received 80 papers from delegates from the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, Central specialized literature and arts associations, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, leaders of departments, branches and localities of the province, delegates of literature and arts associations of some provinces and cities in the northern region, artists and scientists.

The presentations focused on clarifying the contents of the Party's leadership on culture and arts and the leadership of the province; achievements, limitations, lessons learned in developing culture and arts in Quang Ninh province 50 years after the country's reunification; opportunities, challenges and key solutions for developing culture and arts in the new era.
