Speaking at the opening ceremony of the workshop, Mr. Vu Duc Tho, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized: "The workshop is an important cultural event in a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification of the province; the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee have paid attention to and directed the implementation with the desire to organize a forum attracting the participation of many scholars, scientists , researchers, managers, organizations and individuals working in the field of culture and arts to have the opportunity to exchange and discuss research results and issues of concern in the current context; at the same time, propose effective solutions to develop the culture and arts of Nam Dinh province in the coming time".

As a land with a cultural tradition, Nam Dinh has produced and nurtured many outstanding and famous writers, poets, playwrights, painters, etc. nationwide, playing an important role in the country's cultural and artistic development. Over the past 50 years, since the country's reunification (April 30, 1975), Nam Dinh's culture and arts have promoted its cultural traditions, constantly developed, and left a deep impression on the public. From literary works imbued with humanity to unique works of art, they are proof of the love, passion, dedication, and endless creativity of generations of artists from Nam Dinh. The cultural and artistic works of generations of artists in the province always demonstrate profound humanistic values, are a great source of motivation, keeping pace, encouraging, and accompanying the cause of innovation and development of the homeland and the country, contributing to building a solid spiritual foundation for society.

At the workshop, delegates presented papers on the following topics: “Half a century as the expansion of literary horizons (From the perspective of authors Van Cao, Tran Dan - two poets of Nam Dinh)”; “From the case of critic and playwright Xuan Trinh thinking about the qualities of modern scholars”; “50 years of Nam Dinh Literature and Arts - Innovation and development”; “Nam Dinh music on the 50-year journey after the country's reunification”; “State management of literature and arts in Nam Dinh”; “A few words about Nam Dinh fine arts - Sublimation and silence since the country's reunification until now”; “The current state of training human resources for arts at Nam Dinh College of Culture, Arts and Tourism ; “Experimenting the game principle in blogger novels - a contribution of author Phong Diep to Nam Dinh Literature and Arts on the path of innovation and international integration”...

The presentations, exchanges and discussions of researchers, cultural managers, and art and literature experts at the conference provided assessments, looked back at important milestones and marks, and were proud of the brilliant development path of Nam Dinh’s art and literature over the past half century with important and unique contributions to the country’s art and literature; reflecting the unique historical and cultural values ​​of the locality through literary, musical, fine arts, and theatrical works, etc., demonstrating the strong vitality of the national culture. Art and literature works over time are not only precious heritages but also endless sources of inspiration for future generations.
