Mr. Dang Van Cuong, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Dinh Lap Commune, said: The whole commune currently has 670 members operating in 16 branches of the Farmers' Association in 16 villages. Identifying increasing income and sustainably reducing poverty for the Farmers' Association as one of the key tasks, the association actively innovates its methods of operation, instructs branches to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of members to have appropriate support measures. At the same time, it actively guides and propagates people to promote the development of afforestation and livestock farming to promote the potential and advantages of the locality.
Accordingly, every year, the association propagates and mobilizes HVND to register for the title of excellent production and business households (SXKDG) at all levels and receives enthusiastic response from members. For example, in 2024, the whole commune had 88 households registering for the title of Excellent Production and Business Household, an increase of 9 households compared to 2023. In 2025, the association mobilized 91 HVND households to register for the title of Excellent Production and Business Household, reaching 113% of the set target.
At the same time, the association focuses on supporting HVND in terms of capital, science and technology, etc. so that people have more resources to develop the economy. Specifically, from 2023 to present, the Commune Farmers' Association has coordinated to open 8 short-term vocational training classes with 265 registered members; coordinated to open 4 training classes on science and technology transfer with more than 200 participants. Currently, the Commune Farmers' Association has been entrusted by the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to lend 128 households with a total capital of nearly 10 billion VND; has been entrusted by the District Agricultural and Rural Development Bank Branch to lend 26 households with a total amount of more than 20.5 billion VND and is the unit with the largest total outstanding debt in the district. The loan capital is used by members to implement projects such as: afforestation; raising buffaloes, cows, pigs, etc.
Mr. Hoang Van Hieu, Ban Chuong village, Dinh Lap commune said: My family has more than 8 hectares of pine hills. Having participated in scientific and technical training courses on planting and caring for pine trees organized by the commune's Farmers' Association, I have actively applied them in practice, thanks to which my family's pine forest, which is more than 20 years old, is now growing well. From 2022 to now, on average, my family has had an annual income of more than 200 million VND (after deducting expenses) from exploiting pine resin.
In addition, from 2024 to present, the new feature is that the association has promoted and mobilized more than 310 HVND members to install the application "Vietnamese Farmers" on smartphones and is the unit with the highest number of members installing this application in the whole district. Through the application, members are provided with information related to science and technology, typical production models... in and outside the province. From there, HVND members can proactively arrange time to study and improve their knowledge to apply in practice.
Notably, the commune's Farmers' Association also proactively coordinated to organize for HVND members to visit and learn about livestock and crop farming experiences in and outside the province. From 2019 to now, the association has organized for nearly 20 HVND members to visit and learn about medicinal plant growing models in Quang Ninh province. After the visit, some members have experimented with planting medicinal plants such as yellow tea, cardamom, morinda officinalis... with a total area of about 5 hectares and so far, most of the planting areas have grown well.
Actively supporting HVND in economic development has helped the commune build many effective economic models, bringing in income from 80 million VND to more than 300 million VND/household/year.
By the end of 2024, the whole commune will have 45 member households achieving the title of Excellent Production and Business Households at all levels (an increase of 6 households compared to 2023) and is the leading unit in the district in terms of the number of Excellent Production and Business Households; the rate of poor member households in the commune is currently 2.5% (a decrease of 1.7% compared to 2023).
With practical activities, the Dinh Lap Commune Farmers' Association is truly a solid foundation to help members develop the economy. In January 2025, the Dinh Lap Commune Farmers' Association was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association for its outstanding achievements in association work and the farmers' movement in 2023-2024.
