On April 20, the delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association led by Comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, returned to Thai Nguyen to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Journalists Association (April 21, 1950 - April 21, 2025) and the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

The delegation included comrades Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; many veteran journalists, representatives of Thai Nguyen province's leaders and 350 delegates representing press agencies across the country.
The delegation offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Memorial House on the top of De Pass, Phu Dinh Commune, Dinh Hoa District, Thai Nguyen Province.
Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the teacher of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism, the delegation expressed their respect and reported to Uncle Ho the achievements of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the past; studying and following the example of revolutionary predecessors for life.

Continue to deeply realize the heavy but glorious responsibility of revolutionary journalists, strive to contribute to building a Vietnamese revolutionary press that is combative, humane, professional and modern, for the benefit of the country and people.
The delegation offered incense at the site where the Vietnam Journalists Association was founded in Roong Khoa hamlet, Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district; visited the Exhibition House of the Vietnam Journalists Association, which preserves memorabilia, documents, and images of important activities of the Association's leaders since its establishment.
At this location, on April 21, 1950, the Vietnam Journalists Association (the predecessor of the Vietnam Journalists Association) held its first Congress, a milestone event in the development of Vietnam's revolutionary press from 300 members when it was first established, to date the Vietnam Journalists Association has had more than 25,500 members, journalists, reporters, and press staff.

During the journey back to the source, the delegation offered incense to commemorate the students of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School at the national historical site of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School in Tan Thai Commune, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province. This is the school founded, named and instructed by President Ho Chi Minh to organize on April 4, 1949, and is the first training facility for journalism cadres of the Vietnamese revolutionary press.
Speaking at the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School National Historical Site, comrade Le Quoc Minh recalled the event 76 years ago, on April 4, 1949, when the Journalism School named after patriot Huynh Thuc Khang was established - the cradle that trained the first generation of revolutionary journalists and soldiers.

In the middle of the Viet Bac mountains, under simple thatched roofs, the first generation of soldier journalists of independent Vietnam was nurtured, nurtured and matured. Those soldier journalist students came from all over the country, carrying within them enthusiasm and ardent patriotism, and then from this thatched roof school, they spread out to all battlefields, writing on newspaper pages soaked in sweat and blood, contributing to the Dien Bien Phu victory that shook the world and unified the country.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh shared that journalists today are luckier than their fathers and brothers, not having to write articles in the midst of bombs and bullets, but facing a new and arduous front, having to overcome thousands and thousands of fake news and chaotic information "storms" from social networks every day. Therefore, each journalist must become a "border guard" on cyberspace, protecting readers from waves of cultural invasion and sophisticated distortions; must constantly race against the speed of the internet, learn how to use new tools every day, while still maintaining the character of a true journalist.

In front of the heroic spirits of our predecessor journalists, journalists today, despite facing countless difficulties and challenges, despite the world changing and fluctuating, vow to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, continue the red and professional tradition of revolutionary journalists, continue to write the epic of revolutionary journalism in the language of the digital age to be worthy of the trust of the Party and the people, and continue to write the glorious pages of history of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.
