The class consists of 10 students ranging in age from primary to high school in the province.
By attending the class, students will be given free study materials and training. The course will last for 2 months.
According to statistics from the Quang Ninh Association for the Blind, there are currently nearly 30 children and adolescents in the province with visual disabilities, causing difficulties in daily life and study, as well as limiting opportunities to find employment. The opening of literacy and rehabilitation classes for blind children and adolescents in 2025 will give them the opportunity to learn, pass on experiences, travel skills, and use Braille to facilitate daily life and communication.
The Provincial Association will pay attention to creating favorable conditions to support and coordinate with families in teaching, tutoring, encouraging and motivating children, to help them strive to study for a better future and confidently integrate into the community.
The Provincial Blind Association currently has 1,050 members, many of whom are in difficult circumstances and have little opportunity to study or access suitable jobs. Therefore, the Association hopes to continue to receive attention and support from all levels, sectors and localities, creating conditions for many blind people to have the opportunity to improve their quality of life, study and work, support themselves, and reduce the burden on their families and society.
Right after the opening ceremony, the children were guided by teachers to get acquainted with the Braille board.
