The Elderly Association implements Conclusion No. 58-KL/TW of the Secretariat

On September 12, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly (VEA) held a national online conference to disseminate and implement Conclusion No. 58-KL/TW of the Central Party Secretariat on the organization and operation of the VEA for 3,500 delegates at 62 locations nationwide. Attending the provincial location were leaders of the Provincial Association of the Elderly and the Associations of the Elderly in districts and cities.

At the conference, delegates listened to the leaders of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization disseminate and implement Conclusion No. 58-KL/TW; at the same time, they discussed and gave opinions on many issues related to the work of protecting, caring for, promoting the role of the elderly, and building the Vietnam Association of the Elderly to meet the requirements of the new situation. In particular, the leadership and direction of Party committees, Party organizations, and authorities at all levels towards the Association of the Elderly were emphasized; the promotion of propaganda, mobilization, and raising the responsibility of families, communities, and society in protecting, caring for, and promoting the role of the elderly; actively innovating the content and methods of operation; building a strong association organization, performing well the role of representing the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members.
