The Association of Elderly People implements Conclusion No. 58-KL/TW of the Secretariat of the Central Committee.

On September 12th, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly (VA) held a nationwide online conference to disseminate and implement Conclusion No. 58-KL/TW of the Central Party Secretariat on the organization and operation of the VA for 3,500 delegates at 62 locations across the country. Attending the conference from our province were leaders of the Provincial VA and the VA of districts and cities.

At the conference, delegates listened to the leaders of the Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department disseminate and implement Conclusion No. 58-KL/TW; and discussed and contributed ideas on many issues related to the protection, care, and promotion of the role of the elderly, and the building of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly to meet the requirements of the new situation. Emphasis was placed on the leadership and guidance of Party committees, Party organizations, and governments at all levels towards the Association of the Elderly; the promotion of propaganda and mobilization, and the enhancement of the responsibility of families, communities, and society in protecting, caring for, and promoting the role of the elderly; actively innovating the content and methods of operation; and building a strong association that effectively represents the legitimate rights and interests of its members.

Mr. Phan Huu Duc, Head of the Provincial Representative Board of the Association of Elderly People, delivered a presentation at the conference.
