Quang San Art Museum is built on the Saigon River, carrying within it many of the quintessence of Vietnamese fine arts over the past century. The people I respectfully want to mention first are my father and mother: Mr. Nguyen Thieu Quang and Mrs. Phung Minh Nguyet. For over 20 years, my parents have respected and actively collected all the quintessence of Vietnamese painting, of generations of very talented painters of the country, even though their paintings have been scattered to the four corners of the earth or are still hidden somewhere."

Quang San Art Museum is a new and attractive tourist destination.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thieu Kien: "My parents clearly understood that collecting paintings is not only to preserve for the family, but also to preserve and protect extremely valuable paintings for the country. Quang San Art Museum was first and foremost built from aspiration, from love, from enthusiasm and positivity to collect and bring back to the country the quintessence of generations of Vietnamese painters from the beginning until now. Although today the museum only hangs about 300 precious paintings, the treasure trove holds up to 1,300 paintings, all of which are very representative works of Vietnamese painting schools. I can be proud of Quang San Art Museum, and proudly say that our Vietnamese museum can stand shoulder to shoulder with many other art museums in the region, to develop fine arts in general and Vietnamese painting in particular."

Currently, the museum's artifacts are divided into 3 floors of display following the flow of Vietnamese painting history, from the first courses of the Indochina Fine Arts School to the resistance period, the Renovation period, the contemporary period and through each region of the North - Central - South.
