- On the afternoon of April 10, the Provincial People's Committee held an online conference at three levels (province, district, commune) to summarize and evaluate the results of the implementation of the Sustainable Forestry Program and Project for the period 2021 - 2025, and propose the Forestry Development Program for the period 2026 - 2030. According to the report at the conference, the Sustainable Forestry Development Program for the period 2021 - 2025 and sub-project 1, project 3, the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030, Phase I from 2021 - 2025 were focused on directing, organizing and implementing by all levels and sectors and achieved positive results.

Specifically, in the period of 2021 - 2024 and estimated in 2025, the whole province will plant over 45,630 hectares of forest, increasing the forest cover rate from 63.4% in 2021 to 64.1% in 2024; the productivity of planted forests will reach 15 - 18 m3/ha/year; the management of forestry varieties will be promoted, ensuring quantity and quality for afforestation. At the same time, the work of granting forest certificates has also been focused on and implemented. Up to now, the total area of ​​certified forests is 15,100 hectares...

For sub-project 1, project 3, the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, from 2021 to 2025, the whole province has implemented support for forest protection contracts for over 93,200 hectares; supported forest protection for households and communities for over 29,240 hectares; supported zoning and promoting regeneration with additional planting for 71.1 hectares; supported production forest planting for over 1,000 hectares ; supported protective forest planting for 45.44 hectares ...

In addition to the achieved results, the implementation of the forestry development program in the province still has some shortcomings and difficulties such as: the province's forestry production is mostly small-scale, mainly household-scale; the province's forestry land area has not been exploited and optimally used to create many products on a unit area; forestry products have not been deeply processed, so the added value is not high; forestry infrastructure is still lacking and not synchronized...
