Conference on implementing traffic safety tasks in 2024

On February 29, Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee chaired the Conference to review the work of ensuring traffic safety and order in 2023 and deploy traffic safety tasks in 2024 in the province.

In 2023, the work of ensuring traffic safety and order will be promptly and specifically implemented by departments, branches, sectors and localities, especially during peak holiday and Tet activities. Propaganda, signing of commitments, and application of information technology in the work of ensuring traffic safety and order will be effectively implemented by competent authorities. Thereby, the traffic safety and order situation has had positive changes, and people's awareness of obeying traffic laws has been raised. The coordination of competent authorities to resolve and handle cases related to traffic safety and order violations has been maintained and implemented well. The work of maintaining and repairing traffic infrastructure, overcoming "black spots", adding and repairing signs on roads has been given attention and handled promptly.

Concluding the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested members of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen the direction, inspection and supervision of the implementation of solutions in the area and management fields; promote propaganda, patrol, control, vehicle management, and ensure traffic infrastructure. In particular, it is necessary to specifically analyze data, assess causes, to identify risks and shortcomings, and focus on handling and reducing traffic accidents. There is a roadmap to improve infrastructure, arrange reasonable planning to limit the concentration of vehicles on the same route. Review and handle shortcomings and "black spots" of traffic safety; focus on propaganda with focus, key points, and the right target, to change the awareness of traffic participants. During patrols, focus on areas and routes with concentrated vehicles and high risk of traffic accidents. Review and propose solutions to ensure traffic safety conditions for the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway before putting it into operation. Continue to manage transportation, test drivers to ensure compliance with regulations, safe operation; improve traffic infrastructure to meet development trends; have plans to arrange parking lots in the inner city of Phan Rang - Thap Cham. Localities need to focus on planning, propose suitable traffic land funds; ensure safe traffic plans for workers in industrial parks and clusters. Quickly hand over completed routes for management, limit traffic accident risks.
