On the morning of June 6, the Provincial People's Committee held a Conference to deploy the Project of sending workers of Dak Lak province to work abroad under contracts for the period 2024-2026. At the conference, the Steering Committee for sending workers of Dak Lak province to work abroad under contracts presented the basic contents of the Project on sending workers of Dak Lak province to work abroad under contracts for the period 2024 - 2026. According to the Project, in the period 2024 - 2026, Dak Lak province strives to send 7,500 workers to work abroad under contracts. Thereby, contributing to solving employment for the province's workforce, especially the youth, demobilized soldiers, students, graduates of universities, vocational training institutions... helping workers have stable jobs, moving towards sustainable employment, increasing income, stabilizing life...
According to the data stated in the Project, in the period of 2018 - 2023, the whole province has 7,144 workers going abroad to work under contracts through enterprises, units and organizations, accounting for 3.85% of the total number of workers who have jobs. Up to now, almost all communes, wards and towns in the province have workers participating in working abroad under contracts. The average income of workers going to work abroad is about 25-30 million VND/person/month.

However, in addition to the achieved results, the work of sending workers of Dak Lak province to work abroad under contracts still has some shortcomings and limitations such as: The number of workers working abroad under contracts is still small compared to the province's human resources; the cost of working abroad is still high; the level of skills, foreign languages, and industrial working style are still limited; the professional and technical level of workers is not similar to that of workers from other countries and workers from other localities in the country when doing the same job.
In addition, the situation of workers violating the laws of the host country, absconding or not returning home when their contracts expire still occurs. Some businesses sending workers to work abroad under contracts have not promptly and effectively protected the rights and legitimate interests of workers.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade H' Yim Kđoh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for sending workers of Dak Lak province to work abroad under contracts proposed: Based on the general targets of the 2024 - 2026 period and annual targets, localities and units proactively develop programs and plans to concretize the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State on sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts; include specific goals and targets in the socio-economic development programs and plans of localities and units; assign responsibilities to each individual, agency and unit doing state management work in performing the task of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts, ensuring efficiency; In particular, focusing on diversifying the content and forms of information and propaganda in the work of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts suitable for each group of subjects; flexibly applying and promptly advising and removing difficulties and obstacles in support policies for workers of other subjects of the locality, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and the province's budget capacity to encourage workers to actively participate in working abroad under contracts.
