National Conference of Vietnam Journalists Association 2025 - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

On April 21, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Journalists Association held the 2025 National Conference with the participation of more than 500 delegates.

Comrades: Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman Vietnam Journalists Association; Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association; Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association, co-chaired the conference.

At the Conference, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi reported on the summary of work in 2024 and the implementation of key tasks in 2025. In 2024, the Vietnam Journalists Association achieved many achievements in building and developing the Association. The Association closely followed the directives and resolutions of the Party and State on press work, proactively innovated its working methods and achieved important results. The Association at all levels from the central to local levels continued to promote the tradition of solidarity, proactiveness and creativity, creating a positive change in the activities of the Association. The Association at all levels and press agencies made many important contributions to the propaganda of the political tasks of the country and localities.

One of the highlights in journalism activities is the organization of the National Press Festival in 2024. The event, held for the first time in the Southern region, marked a great step forward in scale and diversity of activities.

Entering 2025, the Vietnam Journalists Association has determined its direction of operation with the theme: "Vietnam Journalists Association unanimously serves the Fatherland and the people: Solidarity - Discipline - Professionalism - Creativity". The key tasks set out include implementing the Project to reorganize mass organizations, building a clean and strong Association, successfully organizing activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, and preparing for the 12th National Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh spoke.

At the conference, delegates discussed and agreed on solutions to overcome difficulties in order to improve the quality and efficiency of operations and promote the role and position of the Association at all levels in the process of implementing Resolution 18 on continuing to innovate and streamline the political system's apparatus to be lean, effective and efficient... in conjunction with thoroughly implementing the Party's directives and conclusions related to the press.

In his closing speech at the conference, comrade Le Quoc Minh emphasized the achievements in 2024 and gave important directions for 2025, especially towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
