The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong commune (Thang Binh) has just successfully organized the 12th Congress of the Commune Front Delegates, term 2024 - 2029, with more than 100 official delegates and invited delegates attending.
The congress took place with the contents and programs following the instructions of the superior Front. However, there was one difference compared to other localities in Thang Binh district that had already organized the congress, which was that very few paper documents were used in the congress.
Mr. Vo Van Tri - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong Commune (term XI) said that implementing digital transformation, in this congress, the Binh Duong Commune Front decided not to print and issue documents in paper form but to integrate documents for the congress using QR codes. Accordingly, each delegate attending the congress will receive a delegate card with a QR code printed on it to scan and update documents.
“We only printed about 20 sets of paper documents to distribute to higher-level delegates and delegates from older villages and groups who do not use smartphones. Other delegates scanned the QR code to update the congress documents,” said Mr. Tri.
Ms. Pham Thi Dieu - Secretary of the Youth Union of Binh Duong commune shared that recently, the Youth Union and the Youth Union of Binh Duong commune have been very active in implementing propaganda activities, mobilizing people to implement digital transformation such as supporting the installation of VNeID, guiding citizens to participate in using online public services...
Since the 2023 summer activity summary conference, the Commune Youth Union has tested the method of integrating conference documents using QR codes instead of paper documents.
“For each meeting and conference of the Commune Youth Union, we convene about 60 delegates, so integrating documents with QR codes not only saves costs on printing and photocopying documents but also limits the situation of discarded paper after the conference because many documents are still in draft form,” said Ms. Dieu.
Mr. Le Huy Trac - Chairman of Binh Duong Commune People's Committee said that starting from 2023, in local meetings and conferences, the Commune People's Committee, departments, branches and associations of Binh Duong Commune have tested the form of paperless meetings by providing meeting documents via email and group zalo.
“With the many benefits of paperless conferences and the effectiveness of using QR codes to update documents of the recently held Commune Front Congress, this is considered a rehearsal step for Binh Duong commune to deploy digitization of documents serving the conference in the form of integrating QR code scanning on a large scale,” Mr. Trac shared.
